Happy November! It's wild to think we only have two months left of 2026. Sixty days, to be exact! It feels like just yesterday we were ringing in the new year.
I don't know about you, but for me, November 1st officially marks the start of thee holiday season. No matter what you celebrate, there's just something about flipping the calendar to November that makes it feel like the countdown has officially begun.
I'm especially excited for all of our upcoming winter and holiday crafts. This month, we'll be needle felting, block printing, making gingerbread-inspired doormats, and a few other events that I have up my sleeve. I can't wait to share more about those soon!
A Little Studio Update
For the last two months, just about every spare moment Collin and I have had has been spent at the studio, getting it ready for inspection and, ultimately, opening our doors to the public. We've painted, replaced flooring, swapped out ceiling tiles, and cleaned until our fingers were numb.
Getting the studio to where it is today has not been an easy feat, and it certainly wouldn't have been possible without the help of some of our Craft Club regulars. A huge thank you to Cassidy, Kiera, Nina, and Maya for rolling up your sleeves and helping us bring this space to life.
If you've been following along for a while, you may have heard me mention that having a studio was always the ultimate end goal for NH Craft Club. While I love traveling to host events and absolutely plan to continue doing so, I've dreamed of having a space to call our own since the very beginning.
Earlier this summer, we thought we had found the perfect spot. We signed the lease and started moving in, only to discover a week or two later that making the space ADA accessible was going to be much more complicated than we initially anticipated. Without the landlord's approval to make the necessary changes, we ultimately had to say goodbye to that space.
To say it was soul-crushing would be an understatement. While I was sad, I knew the perfect place for us was out there.
Fast forward to September 1st, and we moved into what I can confidently say is the perfect space for Craft Club! Located on Manchester Street in Concord, the studio is ADA accessible, has free off-street parking, and checks just about every box we had on our wish list. As an added bonus, our landlord has been absolutely wonderful to work with. It already feels like home.
Now comes the hard part, waiting!
Our renovations are about 99% complete, and if I needed to host an event in the space tomorrow, I could. However, before we can officially open our doors to the public, we need to receive our final approvals from the City of Concord.
I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but I have a really good feeling that November will be our final month of construction and preparation. If all goes according to plan, we'll be welcoming you into our very own craft studio before the month is over!
Here's to a new month, a new space, and lots of crafting ahead!
Happy November! ❤️
